1st Year Apprentice Mobile Plant Mechanic

Programmed Apprenticeships & Traineeships, in partnership with Wirtgen (a global leader in mobile machine solutions), are seeking a motivated 1st Year Apprentice Mobile Plant Mechanic to join their team.

This is a hands-on opportunity for someone with a genuine interest in mechanics who enjoys practical work and wants to build a long-term career in the heavy equipment industry.

Key duties

• Fault finding and mechanical repairs
• Servicing and maintenance of mobile plant equipment
• Electrical (12V & 24V) and hydraulic troubleshooting
• Machine preparation and component rebuilds

About you

• Strong interest in mobile plant or heavy vehicle mechanics
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Safety-focused with good work ethic
• Basic computer skills
• Able to obtain a police check
• Driver’s licence preferred (not essential)

Additional information

• TAFE completed via block release
• Pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen required
